Hey, everyone!
I’m Megan- gardener, backyard homesteader, homemaker, and multi-generation western Pennsylvanian.
Country gal at heart, I love my Lord, my family, my flowers, my animals, and my books. I grew up with memories of my grandpa with his Charleis cattle and vegetable garden, my grandma with her flowers and kindness, and my mom with sewing projects and the farm cats.
My love of agriculture and country living stems from my family tree, leading me to my own small, yet productive homestead with my husband and our woofer friends- Molly, Bella, and Ruger.

Who We Are
I’m Megan, the girl behind the blooms, muck boots, and the farmhouse. Garden lover. Book worm. Farm girl.
My husband, Shawn, is the backbone to our homestead, taking my visions to reality. Woodsman. Redneck. Bird Dog Guy.

Our Mission
We believe in building a life centered on faith, family, and farm.
My husband and I may not have the farmstead of our dreams, but God has us where he needs us to be in this season of our lives – on our few acres gardening, hunting, and loving every day.
What We Do
Farmette in Bloom is a Pennsylvania homestead in the Allegheny Plateau where the Alleghenies meet the PA Wilds.
I grew up in the countryside near Johnstown, PA, while my husband grew up in hilly woodside near DuBois, PA. We married in 2019 in our young 20’s, moved a few years later to our current homestead- not quite in the Alleghenies, and not quite in the PA Wilds.

*** Please note: We operate a private homestead. Our property is not open to the public. This is a working homestead and our family home. ***
